About the Journal

Updates in Dermatological Research is a rigorous, peer-reviewed journal that showcases the latest clinical and experimental dermatological research. Our open-access publication covers a broad spectrum of topics, including melanoma biology and cutaneous oncology, epigenetics and skin disease, the biology of ageing, skin pathology, skin health and cosmetics, wound healing, clinical and translational research, procedural dermatology, patient-centred care, inflammatory disorders, and immunodermatology.

We welcome submissions of various types of articles, such as original research, reviews, mini-reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, commentaries, and reports, to facilitate in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing. We employ a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the impartiality of the publication process. Upon acceptance, all articles will be readily available for free online access.
